Today, we completed our first CTD cast test aboard the 2026 OSNAP cruise on the R/V Neil Armstrong from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution! Tests like this are essential to make sure that all the instruments we’ll be using to measure temperature, salinity, and ocean velocity throughout the cruise are working properly and that the entire science team is on the same page before we head to the moorings.

It was an amazing day. The weather was on our side, and the team successfully tested all the equipment. After a productive day on deck, everyone is feeling more confident and prepared for the long journey ahead.
